  • Black Walnut hardwood

  • Glass and Brass

  • OMTech CO2 laser

  • GlobalMAX waterjet

  • Metal chop saw

  • Shopsmith Mark V (5-in-1 tool)

    • Lathe

    • Drill press

    • Disk sander

  • Inspiration​

  • Design and model the parts

  • Laser cut a template with a DXF file exported from the SolidWorks model

  • Trace the template with a table router to carve the raw hardwood

  • Turn the 'golf tee' shape leg

  • Join pieces with wood glue and dowels

  • Drill a parallel hole for the structural brass rod

  • Wood filler, sand, and finish with a clear coat

  • Waterjet cut a custom glass top for the table
